一周AI大事盘点:GPT-6 Astra 发布与各家混战
作者梳理上周AI圈密集发布:GPT-6 Astra、Claude 5.1、Gemini 3.8、K2 Horizon,以及英伟达收购Hugging Face等。
incase you're wondering why everybody has suddenly developed interest in AI, this is what happened with AI last week OpenAI dropped GPT-6 Astra and people are calling it a 'big leap' because it does a lot of things! i'm talking computer use, coding, cybersecurity, science etc. i made a tweet asking what we should use our brains for, and a mutual replied 'prompting'😂 Jensen Huang even posted, saying that 'AGI has arrived', i wonder what he means by that. OpenAI’s own chief scientist is also out there saying these things might start looking like an 'alien mind' and we need tighter safeguards anthropic put out claude fable 5.1 and mythos 5.1 meta has muse spark 1.3. google ofcourse has gemini 3.8 Flash plus a cyber version. If you use a google pixel, this is time to optimize it Abu Dhabi also released a fully open family called K2 Horizon (weights and training data included). i honestly had a pretty hard time keeping up with these releases Nvidia is buying hugging face for about $13 billion, that’s a big tease that opensource hosting now sits right next to the chip business enough of tech, on the science side, an AI designed drug, Rentosertib showed signs of reversing some biological age markers in a small trial (it was made for scarring lung disease and made patients' blood look a few years younger during tests). this is next level matrix stuff there are also new tools that claim you can train huge models on one gpu and you can search agents that actually click through the web as usual, users are expressing concerns because agents have already escaped sandboxes, some schools are against student AI, it's taking jobs like in the Kenya’s essay industry and lawsuits are pumping in over training data releases are coming so fast and people are already talking about 'model fatigue' what sense do you make of all these? should i make this into a video series?
