System One models like Jev will have a critical role to play in software factories and agent harnesses. Where you’ll see them: - supervising long-running workers - detecting when agents are stuck or drifting - evaluating progress and completeness deciding when work needs verification - routing between models, tools, and workers - filtering context before expensive inference - evaluating tool calls before execution triggering retries, escalations, or human review Frontier LLMs will still do the expensive, open-ended work, but these fast decision models will make thousands of smaller judgments around them.
