Jev in Vercel’s October AI Gateway report: • 35.3% of paid teams used it in its first 14 days, the fastest adoption in Gateway history. Sonnet 5.5 reached 18.1%, GPT-6 Luna 14.9%. • Just 0.27% of gateway spend during that window, with cheaper requests using fewer tokens. • 55.6% of teams that tried it in week one returned in week two. Classification and routing sound boring. They also happen constantly in agent workflows. Jev’s adoption makes me think there’s plenty of room for models that do one small job really well. Find a frequent task. Make it fast and cheap. Give builders a reason to keep calling it.
