my main issue with GPT-6 Astra and Fable 5.1? they eat your tokens and don't monitor plan usage... some Astra users are even reporting fresh 5h windows gone in just 2 agent turns. so copy this into your agent's system prompt or repo planning docs: "we're on a limited plan window. always be consistently mindful of our plan token usage and costs. stay lean on tool calls and re-reads unless respectively needed. no waste. do this without any drops in output quality." no lab is incentivized to make your usage window last longer. that part is on you.
