The Girl Who Waited for Me There are some people we never really forget, no matter how many years have passed. My first love was one of them. We were so young back then. We didn’t have much money, didn’t know much about love, and certainly had no idea what life had waiting for us. But we had those afternoons. I still remember her standing outside my school gate, waiting for me. Sometimes she would smile when she saw me. Sometimes she would pretend she hadn’t noticed me at all. We were neighbors, so we walked home together every day. We talked about school, music, and all those little things that seemed so important when we were young. I can’t remember most of our conversations anymore. But I still remember the way she looked at me, the sound of her voice, and how I always wished the road home could be a little longer. Many years have passed. We grew up, took different paths, and became different people. But somewhere in my memory, she’s still that young girl waiting outside the school gate. And I’m still that boy, walking towards her. Recently, I tried to bring that memory back to life with AI. I first recreated an image of my first love, based on a real memory of that afternoon when she was waiting for me outside my school. Then I used the same image to generate two 15-second videos, both in 1080p, using Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.0. This time, Seedance 2.0 won by a landslide. Kling 4.0 failed to preserve her facial identity. The girl in the video gradually became someone else. Seedance 2.0, on the other hand, stayed remarkably faithful to the original image. Her face, her appearance, and the feeling of that moment were beautifully preserved. I’m trying to see someone I once loved, exactly as I remember her. Even if it’s only for fifteen seconds.
