A mathematician asked ChatGPT Astra to find a new perturbation in his proof. It did. In a 29 October preprint, Dmitry Panchenko credits AI with finding a proof of the Mézard–Parisi formula for spin-glass models. He checked and rewrote it. Peer review is pending.
