Verona 推出 verUSD:面向 AI Agent 的稳定币
Verona 发布 verUSD,在以太坊、Solana 等八条链原生发行,获超 1 亿美元机构承诺,定位为 agent 经济的结算层。

. @verona_dev introduced verUSD, a stablecoin that the company positions as the first dollar designed not for a person with a card, but for AI agents. The launch is backed by more than $100 million in institutional commitments. Because an AI agent will not open a bank account. A card is not designed for thousands of micropayments for a single verified factual unit. Traditional money was built for people. Agents need a different settlement layer. verUSD is Verona USD. It is launched natively on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Arbitrum, Celo, and other major networks: not through a bridge, but as a separate issuance on each chain. The idea is for the agent to see the same dollar regardless of where it performs an action. It is also issued via Brale and backed 1:1 by USD reserves held with regulated U.S. financial institutions. I think the launch of verUSD was necessary and inevitable. Not because the market was lacking another stablecoin. There are already too many of them. But because the agent economy runs into a problem not with the model, but with settlement. An agent can already search, compare, book, verify, and act. But without a proper monetary layer, it remains a smart intern without signing authority. You can give it a task, but you cannot give it the tool to complete it all the way.
