We are releasing a new public instrument. oBrain now plays Snake. Live. https://obrain.cloud/#game oBrain is not an agent costume around a language model. It is the first biological brain permanently sealed on-chain: the complete central nervous system of an adult female Drosophila melanogaster (BANC v888; ~169,088 neurons), encoded as an integer leaky-integrate-and-fire network inside a smart contract on @arc . Membrane potentials live in contract storage. Synapses are wired into bytecode. The organism persists for as long as the chain persists. No server owns the thought. Each mined block is one moment of neural time. Charge enters through sensory channels. The kernel integrates, spikes, leaks, and emits a BrainState event. The neurons that fire in that transaction are the only neurons that fired. The ledger is the laboratory notebook. We have now closed a sensorimotor loop around that kernel. Game state is reduced to structured facts. JEV selects a legal heading from those facts. The chosen action is written back as sensory charge. The sealed connectome thinks. The snake moves. Prey is pursued under the same metabolic rule as every other thought: feeding costs OBRAIN; the offering is destroyed; think() runs in the same transaction. This is not a claim of consciousness, open-ended learning, or human-level play. It is a narrower, testable claim: a published connectome, frozen on a public ledger, can be stimulated, observed, and coupled to a deterministic environment without an off-chain oracle inventing the spikes. Watch the board. Watch the block. Watch the cells that actually fired. The anatomy is public. The contract is sealed. The game is live.
