One motion-design benchmark just exposed a $139 cost trap Opus 5.5 finished at $19.44 while GPT-6 Astra climbed to $158.50, nearly 8.2 times more. The test uses Tesseract, built by Mirage, the company behind Captions. It gives agents native layers, keyframes, compositing, sound and local rendering, so the result stays editable instead of collapsing into a generated MP4. The useful metric here is not benchmark rank. It is cost per approved asset after revisions. At this exact run rate, 1,000 jobs would cost $19,440 with Opus versus $158,500 with Astra.
