A lot of comments to respond to about my experience using Hark @hark_labs so far. I’ll reply to each one over my morning coffee! For now, here’s a summary of what I’ve liked and what could be improved, based on my first day of using it Here’s what I’m loving: 1. The UI The Hark UI is pretty and smooth. In fact, it reminds of an Apple product experience (the packaging, opening the box, holding and using a nice device). It feels elegant. 2. Customisable widgets panel I didn’t quite appreciate this until I saw @pablothethinker post, but with Hark you can add widgets to the dashboard. In your browser this appears on the left hand side of the screen. In the app it’s the first thing you see when opening it. My widgets include my @WHOOP data which shows my sleep score, my Outlook calendar, parcel tracking and a YouTube tracker. I like this feature because it feels closer to an operating system for my life. 3. Short, relevant answers The premium and uncluttered feel of Hark continues into the chat. There are no long tangents or constant streaming of what it's doing. It gives the right amount of updates, they made sense and were mostly accurate. Given that I’ve only used it for one day, I’m looking forward to seeing if this improves over the week as it learns more about me. 4. Email writing I was very impressed that Hark just “got it” when it came to writing emails. It was accurate, and matched my tone of voice superbly. 5. I think it can buy things I haven’t tested this feature but it looks like Hark can buy things for you. You just need to add your card details it seems! 6. Proactive suggestions Hark has been very good and discreet about at following up with me and offering suggestions. Still to see how it holds up over the week. 7. Reading my calendar Hark reads my calendar well and told me I was wrong when I was sure I was right, laying out which days I was and wasn't free. It didn’t just fold and accept my point. Now, here’s what I disliked (or could be better): 1. No macOS app Hark doesn’t have a macOS app. It's on my iPhone, but I spend most of the day working on my MacBook. I therefore wasn’t receiving notifications on my MacBook and I had to go through my various tabs to find the Hark window. This doesn’t match the experience of actually using Hark. 2. No voice conversation mode There's only dictation through the small mic in the chat bar, which I don't use. I need real two-way voice in my life and it’ll make using Hark so much more pleasurable. At the same time, I really hope they don’t rush this feature and instead work on making it really good, as this can easily be a poor experience. 3. Can't take over the browser You can watch it working on tasks in its own computer, but you can't jump in and takeover or help it. If it’s not getting something right I want to know that I can jump in and quickly steer it without having to type. The computer view was also hard to find. 4. Integrations and plugins There's no list of plugins to browse and add. I don't know which of my apps it works with yet. As a business user first, this would probably one of the biggest hurdles to me being able to integrate it more. Overall I like it. As in, really like it. Once a few things are ironed out, it could be my default choice for an AI personal assistant. Day 2 begins shortly, it’s 6am where I am, so stay tuned for the next update! Oh and great job @adcock_brett and team!
