The part that stuck with me is not the model picking the cup. It's the part where it gets stuck, a person in Singapore takes the controls for a few seconds, then hands the robot back so the model can finish putting a battery in a slot in San Francisco. That's the loop robotics has been missing. Prompt the robot. Steer it in language when the view is bad. Take over remotely when language isn't enough.
