OpenAI 推出 Astra for Law 法律技能包
律师作者分析 Astra 法律版为何不会取代律师:仅限头部律所、幻觉无法根除、计费按价值而非工时。
ICYMI, OpenAI launched Astra for Law yesterday, a set of legal-based skills designed with input from some of the top law firms in the country. Is this the end of the legal profession as we know it? Here’s why I’m betting no… 1. The product is currently offered only to select law firms. That is intentional. As soon as OpenAI markets this directly to consumers, they are exposing themselves to Unauthorized Practice of Law claims in almost every state. The liability is not worth it (especially for a company that’s already cash-flow negative). 2. AI hallucinations have admittedly decreased, but everyone seems to generally agree that they will never be eliminated entirely due to the way the models function. Legal work demands precision and accuracy. You can’t just be 90% sure on due diligence. The risk will justify additional cost of taking the time to manually verify things. 3. Fees can easily adjust for reduced time spent. At its core, every legal service is provided based on value to the client. Sure, there is an hourly rate. But the work is only done if the result is reasonably expected to justify the total cost. If AI makes the work take half as long (it’s not there yet, btw), has the value decreased? Most would argue no, the value has probably increased. Fee structures will likely change to adjust for less time spent on a matter, but that doesn’t mean there will be a massive change in the aggregate cost. 4. The true value of legal services has not changed. Mindless tasks have never been the true value of legal services. Sure, they need to be done, but clients could do most of them themselves even before AI. It’s the professional advice and guidance that justifies the value. That’s the reason people hire trusted advisors when tools like LegalZoom have been around for years. I’m excited to see what these tools continue to bring and think they will have a net positive on both attorney workflow and overall client satisfaction.
