𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 the grok bot doesn't code. it hands your task to a claude code session on your mac, checks back for the reply, and sends you a short summary. 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 mac with node 20+, homebrew and the claude cli. clone claude-remote (unofficial, MIT) and install with the powers you want: --allow-send for follow-ups, --allow-launch to start sessions, --allow-approve to answer prompts. then add the tunnel to your grok bot as a custom connector. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽 name a session by title, project or folder, or it starts one in the folder you pick. follow-ups go to the same session. with --allow-approve, permission prompts and AskUserQuestion come to you and it only answers what you decide. no answer before --approve-timeout (default 120s) and the normal prompt on your mac takes over. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 (𝗣𝗥𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗽) • push alerts: --notify-url posts to your endpoint when a session needs an answer. ids only unless you add --notify-include-text, optional signed secret. • pending prompts survive helper restarts. stale ones get dropped, restored ones show but can't be answered. • hooks run through a tiny sh + curl script instead of node, ~100ms down to ~20ms per event. token never in argv. • hardened ci: pinned actions, read-only token, build step, macos + ubuntu on node 20/22/24.
