Some genuinely exciting news for OpenAI fans: They’re working on simplifying the apps, improving limits across the board, experimenting with some more unusual features, and yes, “new models” are also on the way. But for everyone who got excited about GPT-6.1 Astra, my read was right. Tibo was actually referring to GPT-6.1 Sol in Ultrafast mode, which is coming soon. They’re clearly paying attention to the feedback, and it really feels like the focus right now is on shipping improvements that make the whole experience better for everyone.
