OpenAI basically emptied the warehouse at DevDay. Over 20 announcements, with some shipping immediately and others entering preview. Here’s the recap you need: ⟣ Dots OpenAI’s new always on agents for ongoing work and responsibilities. ⟣ GPT-6.1 Sol Near Astra performance at $2/$10 per million tokens, with a big focus on coding, computer use and professional work. ⟣ Astra Ultrafast Up to 300 tokens/sec in Codex, with much faster API inference too. ⟣ Pro 500 A new $500/month tier with 25× the Plus allowance and Ultrafast access. ⟣ Codex Cloud. ⟣ new Codex CLI + Code Review. Better multi agent management, voice steering and automated code review. ⟣ Codex Security Cloud Scheduled repo scanning, vulnerability investigation and fixes, with Daybreak Blue access included. ⟣ Agents API + computer use Developers get computer control, tool use, multi agent coordination and Codex style context management. ⟣ Decisions API Luna for fast structured decisions like routing, classification and choosing what an agent should do next. ⟣ Private Intelligence More confidential inference options for companies handling sensitive data. ⟣ ChatGPT Space Shared workspaces where teams and agents can work from the same context. ⟣ Pages ⟣ Collaborative Slides ⟣ Teams + shared tasks Recurring work can be delegated to ChatGPT and triggered by schedules or events. ⟣ ChatGPT inside Slack + Microsoft Teams You can call ChatGPT directly from conversations and let it work with connected tools. ⟣ MCP Events Connected apps can trigger ChatGPT automatically when something happens. ⟣ Plugins got a big upgrade Better discovery, dedicated homes inside ChatGPT, interactive panels and support inside Sites. ⟣ Meetings Automatic notes, summaries and action items that can flow into your workspace. ⟣ Shareable profiles Public profiles for sharing Sites, plugins and other work. ⟣ Sign in with ChatGPT Your OpenAI account and eligible usage allowance can now carry into a bunch of partner products like Devin, Notion, Vercel, T3, OpenClaw and Dactyl. ⟣ OpenAI Marketplace Enterprises can spend part of their OpenAI commitment on approved third-party AI products. That is a ridiculous amount to ship in one event. Dots was obviously the main event. OpenAI is clearly pushing hard rn, although I think some of that expansion is starting to come at the expense of existing users. They’re shipping more than ever, but it increasingly feels like getting the best version of OpenAI is becoming more expensive too. Then there’s 6.1 Sol. Opus 5.5 still mogs it in quite a few places, but getting this close to Astra for this cheap is probably more important for the whole stack they released. Because Dots, Codex and all these long-running agents are going to burn a stupid amount of compute.
