AI Video Generators Reviewed: Kling, Runway, Jimeng & More

A user built a local character video studio on Wan 2.2 and ComfyUI, letting you pick a character and a motion with no credits or subscription, as a self-hosted take on Higgsfield.

The author delegates an entire MV to Claude Code, generating character shots with TopView T1 and detailing the pipeline from storyboards to ffmpeg editing.

A user argues Higgsfield out-ships and out-markets rivals by reselling models like Seedance while building features, UI and API, though GenAI users are fickle and brand mindshare is the real moat.

The Dot team compares its upcoming DotHenge against Higgsfield's Genjutsu on the same source video and character reference, claiming more realistic output with better background, lighting, and color preservation.

OpenArt is running a Halloween reward reveal until November 1, offering account-dependent perks such as subscription discounts, cheaper credit packs, or free generations on select image and video models.

Kling 4.0 is live in Arcads with 30-second single-pass shots, up to 15 references, 10 keyframes, 8,000-token prompts, 9-language lip-sync, plus a Flash mode for 20-second drafts.

A Japanese user compares TopView T1 and Seedance 2.5 outputs side by side, finding little quality difference, while official pricing lists $0.22/sec versus $0.585/sec, making T1 roughly 62% cheaper at 1080P.

Topview says its in-house T1 matches Seedance 2.5-level 1080P quality at $0.22 vs $0.585 per second, with 30 days of unlimited 720P for Ultra annual subscribers.

Digging into the plan details, the author found Dreamina's Basic tier includes 1,575 credits in the first month, calling it a low-barrier entry for AI video beginners.
