Jev in Practice: Browser Use and Agent Workflows

The author uses Jev to batch-judge whether RSS feed items contain career-change signals, a practical use of Jev as a low-cost classifier over an information stream, with a demo video.

A 23-year-old developer runs 300 Claude Code agents at once while Jev checks each output against its source in about 100 milliseconds, filtering out bad data over three passes before writing to Obsidian.

Foreman is an independent supervisor that checks whether a coding agent is making progress, stuck, meeting requirements, or has sufficient tests, and can block calls or stop the job when needed.

The author put OpenAI's newly released Decisions API up against Jev and Clef in a comparison test and found it fast, with a video showing the run.

The approach uses Jev's CHOICE, SCORE, and NOUL to screen Slack messages first so only the top 10% of high-priority events reach GPT-6 Astra, at roughly $19 per million decisions.

The author uses the Jevons paradox to explain that when decisions cost 0.04 cents you make far more of them instead of saving, lists three projects built around many small decisions, and warns that confidence is not correctness so you need a threshold to fall back to a larger model.

The author builds a three-tier Opus/Sonnet/Fable team with --agent and notes that Jev pushes no-reasoning decisions like which file to open, which tool to call, or retry versus abort down to 16ms execution.

In a Claude Code multi-agent debugging workflow, each fork inside an investigation (which log to read, dig or drop) is handed to Jev to decide in under half a second, so tokens are only spent on genuine splits.

The list covers jev-opus dynamically setting reasoning effort, jev-belay blocking false completion, jev-commit validating commit messages, jegrep semantic search, and more.

From a Browser Use decision layer to model routing, decision caching, guardrails and software factories, it lists 10 open-source repos that use Jev for decisions and what each does.

The crawler filtered out 73 scam coins, Jev made buy and sell calls in under a second for under a cent, and the Grok bots executed them, taking the account from $100 to $17,263 by the fourth night.

Rokha uses Jev to return a calibrated probability in about 0.25 seconds instead of a full LLM call, Rigs already branches on the score, and the seat is paid in $ROKHA.
