Hands-on: MiniMax M3.1 Flash builds a playable three.js alpine lake game
The model produced a playable three.js scene with custom water and grass shaders, terrain, movement, collision and a follow camera, plus a trail and bell-triggered sunset; the tester reports 150–200 tok/s and prefers it to Luna/Haiku, though DeepSeek still came out ahead.
been pushing minimax m3.1 flash on a bunch of coding tasks, and this is one of my favourite things it made. a playable alpine lake game. it built this in three.js, with custom shaders for the water and grass, terrain, character movement, collision detection and a camera that follows you. then tied it together with the trail, bell interaction and sunset sequence walk up the trail, explore the lake, reach the overlook and ring the bell for sunset. the water and grass moving while you walk through it is probably my favourite part. i kept stopping just to look around lol this is the model behind space bunny, now officially released as m3.1 flash $0.15/M input tokens and $0.60/M output, and i was getting 150–200 tok/s. it's sick what you can build at that price with some iteration i preferred its results to luna/haiku on these tasks, though deepseek still came out ahead play it here: http://minimax-alpine-lake.vercel.app
