Opus 5.5 for motion design: good for overnight concept runs, design and SFX still need a human
The author fed all of Toolcraft's source code to Opus 5.5 and got a motion promo in 3 prompts, concluding it suits overnight concept experiments while design details and sound effects still need manual work.
Tried Opus 5.5 for motion design. Conclusion: it can be a great tool for overnight experiments, so you can then fine-tune the best options. Design-wise, it’s still not great. It makes the same silly mistakes that are easy to fix if you have at least some design taste. So if you already have a good, well-designed storyboard, animating it shouldn’t be a problem. SFX: you still need to handle them yourself. Below is a video I tried to make for Toolcraft with it. I gave Opus the full source code with all our components and apps, and it took just 3 prompts to get there. It’s still not great, but as a super-quick concept, it’s amazing.
