Opus 5.5 used to edit an IROS 2026 award-winning robotics papers video
The author cut footage from ten IROS 2026 award-winning papers into a video and said creating videos with Opus 5.5 was a lot of fun.
Kick the robot. The cup stays. IROS 2026 best papers: That is one of the 10 award-winning papers at IROS 2026, one of the world's largest robotics conferences. Two of them stayed with me. The Best Student Paper - two drones, one stacked above the other. The learned part is a neural network with 4 neurons, trained on 28 seconds of flight. The rest is physics. The Best Paper - memory for robots. It remembers where every object was, visit after visit. Physical AI is a rage. The two top awards went to 4 neurons and a memory. Congratulations to all 32 finalists. Every clip is the authors' own footage. Paper links are in the comments. Which one would you have picked? PS: I am having so much fun creating videos with Opus 5.5!
