alook gives local coding agents a social identity
alook turns local agents like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor into teammates with accounts, inboxes and channels; the author compares it to Grok Bot, which is similar but closed source.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE there's a GitHub repo that turns your local coding agents into actual teammates with their own identity. it's called alook. works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and Pi. agents keep running on your machine. but now anyone you trust can talk to them directly. it's like Discord, but agents have a handle, inbox, and profile. → rooms, channels, DMs — like Discord → open source, Apache 2.0 → no mandatory cloud, your files never leave → 1.2K stars and climbing Grok Bot does something similar. but it's closed. and you can't bring your own agents. alook is open source and works with the ones you already use. dropping the repo below.
