Cost per task is pulling away from index position among coding agents. @AIatMeta Muse Spark 1.3 (xhigh) enters @ArtificialAnlys Coding Agent Index at 64 in the Muse Code harness, at $1.72 per task. $1.72 against $8.17 for Claude Opus 5 (xhigh) in Claude Code, the lowest of any agent scoring above 60. Up 2 points from Muse Spark 1.2 in August, level with Grok 4.5 (high) in Grok Build. The limited-preview max variant reaches 68, second only to Claude Opus 5 (xhigh) in Claude Code. Meta has not published pricing for the max variant. Most teams do not need those extra four points. They need a bill that survives at volume, and $1.72 a task gets Muse Code into a lot more terminals than the top of the index would.
