Skepticism about putting personal agents into group chats

The author notes Wabi, Tomo Community and Instinct all added group-chat agents, but doubts tone conflicts and the shift from social to transactional chats, favoring only planning use cases.

Adding an agent to group chats is becoming a basic feature that is a must for any AI agent In the past week we've seen Wabi, Tomo Community and now Instinct Group Chats - lots of innovation continuing to rise in this multi-player space However, I'm still not convinced that simply adding an agent to a group chat solves the gap (though it is absolutely a necessary step) What concerns me: 1/ everyone has a different taste for agents. how verbose they may be, their tone, their level of noise - these are all factors that can lead to different perceived experiences in the same chat the beauty of having your own agent is that it is tailored to YOU so the question becomes, how does an agent determine who to most cater to? 2/ the vibes of a group chat inherently change when a 3rd party is added, it becomes more of a transactional group chat rather than social (imo) i can see a solid use case for an active agent in a group chat when it comes to planning or serving a very specific purpose but i'm not sure i'd want an agent in my general group chats Super pumped to continue seeing teams sprint and ship at lightning speed, letting little ole consumers like me play around, have fun, and opine on the most electric space in consumer tech
