ICP's official ChatGPT plugin goes live
DFINITY launched an MCP-based Internet Computer connector that lets ChatGPT read and write data in ICP apps, with access granted through Internet Identity.

♾️ INTERNET COMPUTER (ICP) IS NOW INTEGRATED WITH CHATGPT DFINITY has announced the launch of its official Internet Computer plugin in ChatGPT, allowing users to interact with ICP-based applications directly through conversations. The integration uses a connector built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), linking ChatGPT with applications running on the Internet Computer blockchain. Users can ask questions, retrieve application data, and perform supported actions without navigating each application separately. Access is managed through Internet Identity, where users choose which permissions to grant and how long the connection remains active. For example, someone could ask ChatGPT to retrieve information from an ICP application or update data in an authorized account. The connector can also work across multiple participating applications within the same conversation. This introduces a conversational interface for blockchain applications, allowing users to interact with on-chain services through natural language rather than traditional menus and dashboards.
