The poster argues both companies keep shipping models like GPT-6 Sol and Luna to justify trillion-dollar IPO valuations, and that the safety push has not bought them breathing room.
clearly nobody is slowing down.. just look at how fast openai is already pushing toward gpt 6 sol probably luna too etc and same with anthropic.. they’re both trying to justify these $ 1T+ IPO valuations, so if the safety push was supposed to buy them some breathing room and time, it clearly isn’t working.. even openai had to delay their IPO as a result.. now they just have to keep shipping and keep proving those valuations make sense. tough spot for both companies tbh… I would expect them to slow down once the IPOs are done, not because it suddenly has anything to do with safety…
