Opus 5.5 builds 500 animated clocks in one 6.3 MB HTML file
Tom Gally used Claude Opus 5.5 across several chats to generate 500 code-only animated clocks in a single 6.3 MB HTML file, including a Pong clock and an interactive fiction clock.
Claude Opus 5.5 built 500 animated clocks in a single 6.3 MB HTML file. Tom Gally created the gallery across several Claude chat sessions. Nearly all the ideas came from Opus, and every graphic is generated with code. There’s a Pong clock where the ball reaches a paddle every second, clocks wrapped around classic board games, and even an interactive fiction clock. Some themes repeat and some designs are rough. Gally says he’d refine individual clocks before using them as standalone widgets. For frontend prototyping, this is useful: explore hundreds of working ideas, pick the few worth pursuing, then spend time polishing those.
