Opus 5.5 edits a video intro in 15 minutes on under 2% of Max usage
A user says Opus 5.5 edited a video intro in 15 minutes, adding B-roll, text overlays and color grading, reducing echo and cutting empty parts, while using less than 2% of their Max plan.
Not only are motion designers cooked, but so are video editors. Claude Opus 5.5 edited this video intro for me in 15 minutes, consumed less than 2% of my Max plan. It added brolls, text overlay, colour graded, reduced echo, and cut out empty parts. Full context, I’m still using human editors. But man these models are getting so good that it’ll soon be hard to justify a multi five figure budget for a video team when AI can do it. Is it there YET? Not quite. However, I’m very close to a big YouTube content creator who only uses claude to edit all of his content. He hasn’t used a video editor in 2 months. So yes, we’re getting pretty close.
