GPT-6 Sol is a smaller model built to ease GPU capacity strain, mark_k says
mark_k argues OpenAI is short on GPU capacity right now, so GPT-6 Sol is likely a smaller model replacing Terra to relieve inference load, which explains its lackluster performance.

I think GPT-6 Sol was born out of necessity. OpenAI is GPU-poor at the moment, with legit capacity issues for inference. GPT-6 Sol is likely a smaller model, basically what Terra used to be, to alleviate the capacity issues. Hence the lackluster performance.
