MiniMax M3.1 Flash hands-on: strong computer use and Three.js, but hallucinates and slows at xhigh/max
After a few hours of testing, the model is a big step up from M3 with strong computer use and Three.js results that sometimes beat DeepSeek first try, but it hallucinates and goes off-script at xhigh/max and feels slow despite 100+ tok/s.
first impression of minimax m3.1 flash been using model for the last few hours and it's a huge step up from m3. pretty good for flash model > some outputs really surprised me > computer use is really good > does well in threejs, even beat latest deepseek on first try in some tasks > other outputs were way worse than expected > hallucinates alot on xhigh or max and starts doing stuff i didn't ask for and cuz of that model ends up being slow despite giving 100+ tok/s in this test it did better than deepseek on first try, but still wasn't exactly what i wanted if i were to use it daily i'd use it as sub agent for simple tasks overall a good model but not impressed. team said m3.1 pro is coming soon, so i expect it to way better then this it's free right now so go play around and lemme know what you think
