Opus 5.5's first four days: ten most-viewed builds, from a 78-second web page short to a lens lab
A roundup of popular Opus 5.5 builds from its first four days, including a 78-second animated short on a single web page, a Blender claymation Claude logo, a kart racer and an interactive lens lab.
Claude Opus 5.5 launched on September 22 with API token prices 20% below Opus 5. Anthropic says a tester had several Claude models each build a game from one prompt, and Opus 5.5 scored highest on graphics and polish. Within four days, people on X had posted what they built with it. The ten most-viewed new builds include a 78-second animated short that is a single web page, with no image or video files and music generated in code (@jurlycat), and a claymation of the Claude logo that Opus 5.5 built in Blender from a three-sentence prompt (@alexalbert__, who works at Anthropic). There is also a kart racer (@bridgemindai); its creator says it was made in one shot. Others made a playable Splatoon-style shooter (@JaydenDavisNC) and a three.js boat ride through Japanese scenery (@MengTo). No. 1 is an interactive lens lab that explains camera focus (@RyanSael). He says Opus 5.5 built it from one instruction, working on its own for 1 hour 26 minutes, at an API cost of $25.66.
