Opus 5.5 builds a Transformers-style car-to-robot transformation in the browser
No 3D models or texture files: about 16,000 lines of TypeScript with Three.js and WebGPU generate all 665 parts in code, producing a trailer-quality transformation in roughly 24 hours.
It’s finally done! A Transformers-style car → robot transformation built with Claude Code and @claudeai Opus 5.5 at max effort. No 3D models. No texture files. Just a big prompt, ~16,000 lines of TypeScript, and Three.js + WebGPU running in a browser. The hardest part was making the robot entirely from parts of the car. No made-up pieces. I tried to keep the transformation as faithful to the real car as possible. It took about 24 hours, and I still can’t believe this is something we can make today. Sound on 🔊 It plays like a movie trailer. It shows: • All 665 parts, exploded and every one built in code • The V10 flips into the chest and becomes its heart • It stomps into a hero stance and walks toward the camera • It transforms at 85 km/h mid-drift and skids to a stop in a shower of sparks I’ll open-source the code and prompt soon so you can play with it too.
