Anthropic has released Claude Code 2.1.302 with changes to how subagents run. → Fork subagents are now enabled by default in the desktop app, VS Code, the Agent SDK and headless mode → Users can disable them with the CLAUDE_CODE_FORK_SUBAGENT=0 setting → A new setting lets users choose the model used by the auto-mode classifier → The release notes say standalone Claude Design will close on December 14, 2026 Repo: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code
