Chinese companies use Claude to distill and train their own models. Which is against Anthropic’s rules. They mass ban many Chinese accounts all the time to prevent distillation when detected. It’s likely many innocent user accounts get swooped into the mass bans and it’s probably built a negative reputation as a result. Just a guess.
