Opus 5.5 and Astra compared on a squishy bread animation
The same prompt asked Opus 5.5 and ChatGPT-6 Astra to animate a squishy piece of toast; Opus produced a memory-foam feel while Astra looked like cardboard, and Opus cost less.
Opus 5.5 understands bread better than Astra Same prompt, same squishy toast. Opus on top, ChatGPT-6 Astra below I put both through the same moves - press, poke, stretch the crust, squash it with a palm, switch flavors, drop it on the table Opus made memory foam. You press it, the dent slowly breathes back, and a little ripple runs across the crumb after you let go. Pull the crust and it stretches, gets thinner, then snaps back with a wobble Astra made a cardboard brick. The dents are sharp cones that vanish instantly, and the crust pull turns into a weird wooden stump The detail gap is wild too - real crumb pores, a toasted edge, glossy jam vs flat color fills Opus: $4.52 Astra: $11.2
