ai agents for professional video production is at an inflection point. it was a 'feeling the agi' moment for me. opus 5.5 and astra made me a product video with blender and we won the yc product showcase with it this week (see pic below). i casually asked opus what the cost of producing such a video with an agency would've been. i was shocked to see an estimate of 60-250k and months. with ai it cost me a claude and chatgpt subs + a few hundred dollars of gpu time for rendering and a week of iteration. i'll release the video soon when we launch, but from all the feedback we've gotten it's professional grade and very good. ai is doing real valuable labor and it may not show up in gdp yet but traditional work performed with computers is going to be revolutionized.
