Anthropic publicly spent the last week talking about SLOWING AI DOWN. Dario wrote the essay. Sam jumped in. Elon jumped in. Everyone suddenly became very concerned about acceleration. Meanwhile I’m hearing the internal mood is basically: ACCELERATE. SHIP. DON’T LOSE. MAKE OPUS 5.5 STRONG ENOUGH TO FUCK UP GPT-6 SOL. WHAT SLOWDOWN ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? (Of course, as a customer I think all of this is great, but the criticism of the hypocrisy still stands.)
