Backend said to be preparing for GPT-6 Sol and several other models
The post lists GPT-6 Sol, Luna, Fable 5.5, Opus 5.5 and a possible new OpenAI agent as moving at once, along with changes to routing, tool instructions and other infrastructure.
Today the board looks absolutely insane. A LOT of pieces are moving at the same time, and the backend increasingly looks prepared for a much bigger wave of releases: → GPT-6 Sol → GPT-6 Luna → Fable 5.5 → Opus 5.5 → OpenAI’s new “bot” / agent, possibly Aeon (This last one is less likely, but hey, you never know...) And that’s before we even get into the surrounding infrastructure: → model catalog changes → new routing behavior → service-tier reshuffling → persistent agent infrastructure → model-specific tool instructions → more dynamic model switching Right now we have an unusually large number of independent pieces lining up across OpenAI and Anthropic. The next few hours could get VERY interesting.
