Meta connect event is coming up in 10 days. At the same time I feel like no one is talking about it. Here is what to expect: 1. New Meta Ray-Bans, better cameras, more frames, better AI integrations. Zuckerberg has also said deeper integration between Meta’s Muse personal agent and its glasses is coming next. Could also see more discussion around 3rd-party apps on glasses, with web apps and the Device Access Toolkit already on the agenda. 2. Meta smartwatch, codenamed Malibu 2. There have been rumors about Meta reviving their smartwatch project. Beyond normal health tracking and Meta AI, it could integrate wrist based gesture tech for controlling Meta's glasses. Makes sense for their focus on consumer AI and health related context. 3. Watermelon model Meta’s next major model codenamed Watermelon, is reportedly a much larger pre-training run than Avocado, the model generation behind Muse Spark. Zuckerberg said that Watermelon is "shipping soon", and they are already training models after it. Watermelon is optimized around personal superintelligence and coding. 4. Project Phoenix. Phoenix is reportedly a lighter mixed reality device that sits between smart glasses and regular Quest headset. Instead of putting everything in your face, Meta is experimenting with moving compute and battery into an external puck. If you made it through the end then let me know what are you looking forward the most? $META
