MCP Events lets ChatGPT subscribe to tool events and act automatically
ChatGPT's MCP Events can subscribe to changes in connected tools and run actions automatically; it requires MCP 2.0, works in Work chats and the desktop app, and does not support polling or streaming.
Most agents wake on a schedule, or when you message them. MCP Events lets ChatGPT subscribe to a connected tool. You pick what to watch, and what it should do when an update arrives. The page’s examples are a new message in a feedback channel, and a review comment on a document. It is in Work chats, on the web and in the desktop app with Cloud selected, and with dots. It needs MCP 2.0. Polling and streaming are not supported. https://developers.openai.com/plugins/build/mcp-events
