Qwen3.8-27B and DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash have powered seven local AI agent experiments, spanning 16GB consumer GPUs to systems with 512GB of combined memory. The goal was to let AI agents build interactive worlds that people could explore directly in a browser, using locally configured open-weight models without cloud API calls for the experiments described. The seven configurations 1. RTX 5060 Ti, 16GB VRAM Qwen3.8-27B running with MiaAI_lab’s inference kit. 2. RTX 5090, 32GB VRAM The same model and inference kit on a higher-memory GPU. 3. One DGX Spark, 128GB memory Qwen3.8-Flash-Next running on TensorFold. 4. Two DGX Sparks, 256GB memory DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash running across two systems with TensorFold. 5. Mac, 256GB unified memory Qwen3.8-Flash-Next running through oMLX. 6. Mac, 256GB unified memory DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash running through oMLX. 7. Four DGX Sparks, 512GB combined memory DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash using tensor parallelism across four systems. Why this matters These experiments show how different hardware configurations can support local AI agent workflows, from consumer GPUs to multi-system setups. Memory capacity, model architecture, quantization and inference software all influence which models can run and how efficiently they perform. The other interesting part is the output. These agents aren’t just generating isolated code snippets. They’re producing interactive environments that can be explored in a browser. That requires translating a prompt into a working application, generating the code and getting the result to run. One important caveat: these seven configurations use different models, hardware and inference stacks. They demonstrate a range of local deployment options, but they don’t establish which setup is fastest or most efficient. Still, the experiments illustrate how open-weight models and community-built inference tools are expanding what’s possible with locally run coding agents, without depending entirely on hosted APIs. https://x.com/niklaslenz_ai/status/2112666535932117104/video/1
