I’m going to be bold here, but I think GPT-6.1 Sol is one of the best releases in OpenAI’s history, probably second only to GPT-6 Astra. It made me extremely optimistic. It’s obviously not as advanced as Opus 5.5 or GPT-6 Astra, but it’s still one of the best models on the planet right now, and the cost is surprisingly low. That makes it ideal for a huge number of tasks where using the more expensive frontier models just doesn’t make sense.
