Other tips for setting up agents/giving them a try: 1 / Make everything as frictionless as possible. Even apple native voice memo → copy transcript → paste to agent is tedious enough for you to not try it 2 / It's so easy spinning up custom apps at this pt, you should just do it 3 / Give it access to some internal dev URL and everything is just *.blahblah.dev, and use @cloudflare to gate every subdomain with an email-login 4 / ...that gives you an easy way for agents to communicate back to you (+ others) 5 / Cloudflare Zero Trust also gives you free auth/accounts 6 / Prioritize direct quotes over summaries! Both of your voice notes + internet research. Summaries are like reading CliffsNotes 7 / Use @browserbase or the like instead of self-hosting Chrome on VPS (memory hog) 8 / Use Deepseek V4.1 as a quick response, and fallback to Opus/Astra for deeper thinking 9 / Give it access to SSH into a local Mac Mini or laptop (dedicated to it!) is super helpful (connecting to local printers, lower latency local chats, etc) 10 / Get a room-wide mic/speaker (Jabra is good) + a quick button trigger (M5Stick works fine) 11 / Give it its own credit card with a monetary cap 12 / Give it its own email address 13 / GIVE IT A GOOD SYSTEM PROMPT FOR HOW IT TALKS. I can share one later that we use. It's day and night difference. 14 / It's very very good at researching and also as an ongoing-monitor for specific topics 15 / Make it multiplayer if you work with other people. This is so fun. 16 / Simple speaker diarization on voice notes goes a long way Maybe most importantly: 17 / Read @gwern's "Useful Outsourcing is Hard" (https://gwern.net/blog/2024/outsourcing) to understand what's problem-with-agents and what is problem-with-misunderstanding-how-to-use-them
