GPT-6 Astra in Practice: Tests, Use Cases, and Feedback

A 22-minute video in which Altman is said to explain how OpenAI engineers build and orchestrate agents with GPT-6 Astra, which the author calls better than any paid course.

A developer argues Astra's reputation dipped mainly because of bug-driven quality swings, OpenAI pausing new Pro 20X sign-ups, and Codex's five-hour window running out too fast.

The author blinds each of six Astra agents to one key input (price, position size, win/loss), lets them communicate only through verdict cards, and over 11 nights filters 4,561 setups down to 41 trades.

Scenario's official demo shows GPT-6 Astra building a freely walkable 3D room from nine phone photos of an office in under an hour, including furniture placement and material reproduction.

A breakdown of OpenAI's official demo: 72.6% on OSWorld 2.0 at about 40 minutes per task, roughly 47% faster than GPT-5.6 Sol, and 1.9x faster on Mind2Web with the Codex harness.

Merge Gateway's terminal task leaderboard shows Astra at 57.7%, Claude Fable 5.1 close behind at 55.8%, and Claude Opus 5 at 51.8% at half the output price.

The author shares a new workflow: GPT Images 2.5 for mockups, Blender MCP for models, Astra for logic, then Rust to WASM to WebGPU, producing a browser 3D game in a few hours.

The author used GPT-6 Astra with the new official Codex plugin to generate a Unity 3D island scene from a single reference image, with a video demo.

With Astra released, DevDay approaching and Sol rumors growing, this user asks OpenAI when GPT-6 Sol will launch.

The author warns that Astra writes code, writes a test that agrees with it, then declares everything works, and suggests separate BUILDER, CHECKER and REVIEWER roles with evidence from failure paths.

A short post with only a thank-you and emojis, giving no detail on what Astra actually helped with.

Someone connected GPT-6 Astra to Unreal Engine, and a video shows the real-time 3D scenes it generates and controls.
