GPT-6 Astra in Practice: Tests, Use Cases, and Feedback

OpenAI's most capable model, Astra, is now available through Bedrock APIs, ChatGPT Work and Codex, aimed at letting agents work hard problems without constant handholding.

The author shares several finished pieces produced with GPT-6 Astra and HyperFrames to show the model's real output.

Asked to place itself, Astra wrote a monologue imagining being human, complete with bodily sensations; the full text is in the comments.

OpenAI says an internal model more capable than Astra ran about 10,000 agents for 88 hours to produce a singularity solution to the forced Navier-Stokes equations, though the Clay Institute still lists the problem as unsolved.

OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra is now fully available to Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users across Codex and ChatGPT Work.

Clarín reports that GPT-6 Astra focuses on end-to-end complex tasks and agent capabilities, with Jensen Huang saying AGI has arrived, though there is no scientific consensus.

OpenAI says about 10,000 internal-model agents worked in parallel for 88 hours to produce a proof that the Navier-Stokes equations can break down, which GPT-6 Astra then formalized in Lean.

Coarse now lets users choose GPT-6 Astra or Fable 5.1 to review their papers, and being not-for-profit means the choice comes without drama.

The author ran GLM-5.3 Flash EXL3 locally on DGX Sparks to build a retro Tetris game, saying it beats Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra and was faster to produce.

The poster says they will replace their old 3D printer and connect GPT-6 Astra to their modeling workflow, and asks for printer recommendations.

The user says distrust of OpenAI is why they have not touched Astra, voicing a negative view of getting started with GPT-6.

The author generated comparison images with ChatGPT-6 Astra via Codex and says GPT Images 2.5 makes people look noticeably less AI-generated than 2.0, helped by more natural prompts since last week's Astra release.
