GPT-6 Astra in Practice: Tests, Use Cases, and Feedback

A viewer jokes that OpenAI's Astra demo only shows someone ordering food and someone booking tennis courts, so most jobs are safe for now unless you're an executive assistant.

A September 4 roundup covering Astra's daily reset credit for paid users after access delays, Altman's apology, and praise for its coding value, 3D modeling, and PC control.

A joking complaint that people without even a GPT subscription immediately posted Astra reviews and tutorials, experiencing the update through screenshots.

A Japanese podcast discusses Astra's scores on ARC-AGI-3 and FrontierMath, plus its world-model-level 3D modeling and computer-use abilities.

A long post compares the two models on computer use, coding, cybersecurity, long context, hallucination rate, and price per million tokens.

The author says Astra scores 32 points above Fable 5.1 and suggests using it to review your workflow, audit your second brain, and re-examine shelved projects before handing execution to cheaper models.

A French developer asks people to post project ideas in the comments; Astra reads them, picks some, builds them in Codex, and he reviews the results in a stream that evening.

The author notes GPT-6 Astra is live and says the standout is being able to tell your computer what you want done and have Astra handle it, which could change how we use software.

The post says Astra, using OpenAI's Provider Adapter, pushed ARC-AGI-3 from around 0.5% to 99.9%, and notes Greg Brockman calls it the beginning of the AGI era.

A Turkish tech outlet reports OpenAI's new model launch and explains that AGI refers to AI that can think, learn and solve problems across domains like a human.

The report says the tests included two zero-day vulnerabilities, but the released version is limited to secure code review and patching and refuses to generate PoC exploit code.

A long post explains that GPT-6 Astra can operate a screen like a person to complete tasks, and lists comparison figures including 72.6% on OSWorld and 41.4% on AutomationBench.
