GPT-6 Astra in Practice: Tests, Use Cases, and Feedback

A French-language account shares footage of OpenAI unveiling its new GPT-6 Astra model, calling it the most advanced AI model in the world.

Someone posts the official GPT-6 Astra promotional video and jokes that OpenAI has a very good ad agency.

OpenAI says Astra goes first to a limited set of organizations, then to Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users over the coming days, with API and AWS access.

OpenAI says Astra can help analyze unfamiliar software and investigate potential vulnerabilities for authorized security work, and that it evaluates misuse risks to guide safeguards.

An official demo shows Astra converting a reference image into a working interface, then refining layout, typography, spacing, color, and interactions.

The benchmark tests desktop tasks without internet access; with computer-use tools, Astra can navigate menus, enter information, and check results on screen.

The result comes at the xhigh reasoning setting, and the post outlines Astra's four-step bug-fixing flow: reproduce, trace across files, compare fixes, and weigh trade-offs.

An interview video covers practical uses of the model across computer use, software engineering, and visual understanding.

GPT-6 Astra launches today for a limited set of organizations and will reach all ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, plus the OpenAI API and AWS, over the coming days.

GPT-6 Astra is state of the art on FrontierMath Tier 4, ARC-AGI 3, and TerminalBench-4.0, with further science-focused results on Terminal-Bench Science 0.1 and HealthBench Pro.

OpenAI says Astra is its most aligned model, with substantial improvements in understanding what users actually want.

OpenAI describes GPT-6 Astra as the most intelligent and aligned model in the world, setting a new state of the art for computer use, browsing, software engineering, cybersecurity, science, and professional work.
