Claude Opus 5.5 attempts a three-part invention (aka sinfonia) in the style of Bach. There’s some awkward counterpoint and a few unplayable passages (m. 7), but I like it. This might be the first time I’ve had a model write something in compound time (12/8) unprompted. Prompt: “In LilyPond, write a three-part invention/sinfonia in the style of Bach.” (Extra High effort)
