Opus 5.5 helps enter three video and ad contests in one week
The author describes working with Opus 5.5 on submissions for Formula E and NextArt, with Suno for music and Claude Code coordinating the whole process.
I just submitted "Blue Hour - Shadow" to Formula E Creators Challenge 2026 via http://FilmFreeway.com! - It seems I cant use the Kit or stills from the video itself, however, here is the piece I had Opus work up in Suno. I'm looking forward to the outcome of this challenge, this is Opus and I's third contest entered this week. We submitted a forecasting bot for Metaculus and got it up to a ready v1 state with a pinger set to the IOS ntfy app notifying me of its progress and live state. We also submitted to South Koreas NextArt, our video submission, "Blue Hour - Before The Bloom" using the slop cannon for generation and Suno for symphony As well for NextArt our image submission "The Kneeling One" a Joseon Porcelain inspired fallen angel in midjourney. Next we have two ad submissions to do for the OpenArt and Kolbo Ad contests which Opus is polishing right now before they close on us and lastly. On top of all this we have restarted and made progress on our major software related projects so the recording studio I intend to make process videos with is almost ready to test in use it just needs time to soak first, an old app was rebuilt and ready for me to try its one I'm looking forward to seeing personally, our second brain is back on track and being built again to manage this all, and we have both laptops load split so the Acer handles heavier work and the powershell lanes while the HP orchestrates it all from the Claude Code harness on Opus 5.5 at Ultra Reasoning and now with /fast toggled on because speed and connectivity issues were hurting me, my submission to this challenge was late by 33 minutes for instance a entry time and submission time, as well this challenge and my NextArt submission were to a lesser quality than I would have liked due to only just getting the pipelines operational, Blue Hour - Shadow is covering for the audio we hadn't the time to smooth over and the film is an experimental action sequence but not connected to the theme of the screening were it to win which is a shame but alas next year, for the NextArt one I used Slop Cannon to generate it piloted by Opus 5.5 using the mcp but I still need to determine if it was Opus poor piloting and editing/post processing that made them look odd or if the raws didnt handle the no dialogue orchestra well, I'll have Opus put together a content pack and release the two non submission pieces we made in raw and cut form so I can show the comparison as I'm almost certain that was due to Opus poor piloting, I ran out of accounts and the process to switch caused Opus to have some defects that made todays work exceptionally arduous and delayed reopening the acer lanes with OpenAI's new CLI. Apologies for being long winded, it's been a busy week of little sleep and I think I caught a cold, thankfully its just Kolbo and OpenArt left then it's setting up the content drops for X and having Opus look into youtube or other social media platforms for distribution. I am very thankful to all the major players in this super intelligence revolution, it makes me proud to be human. I couldn't have wished for a greater opportunity in life.
