Building a video system around Opus 5.5 instead of just writing prompts
The author argues the prompt is only 10% of a finished video, and that giving Opus 5.5 references, a deterministic renderer, real assets, a beat grid and a self-critique loop is what yields studio-level motion design.
THE PROMPT IS ONLY 10% OF THE VIDEO. The other 90% is the system around it. Give Opus 5.5 a blank canvas and you get the same centered text, gradients and fade-ins everyone else gets. Give it a reference, a deterministic renderer, real assets, a beat grid and a critique loop that makes it inspect its own frames? Now you have a studio. That distinction matters way beyond motion design. AI doesn’t become powerful when you give it a better prompt. It becomes powerful when you build the system that makes bad outputs expensive to keep.
