Opus 5.5 builds a sun-extinguishing apocalypse animation from one prompt
From a single prompt, Opus 5.5 built a blocky city with cars, crowds, weather and a countdown, then played out the city's day-by-day collapse after the sun goes dark.
I ASKED OPUS 5.5 TO SIMULATE WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SUN JUST TURNS OFF AND I HAVEN'T SLEPT SINCE one prompt. "what if the sun went dark, show me". and it built me an entire blocky city with cars, crowds, weather, a clock, and then quietly started killing it!!! the first thing that wrecked me: for 8 minutes nobody knows. sunlight takes about 8 minutes to reach us, so the sun is already dead and people are still out with umbrellas in the plaza. there's a countdown on screen. "last sunlight arrives in 00:02". chills then it all goes fast: hour 1, the streets are one giant traffic jam of headlights day 1, noon looks like midnight and every heater in the city is on day 3, the power grid dies and water pipes freeze and burst day 7, it's -26°C and people are standing around fires burning whatever they can day 365, -73°C. nothing moves on the surface anymore and then the camera drops down, and there's a little warm light underground. life goes on down there i didn't animate a single frame. i didn't write the timeline. it figured out the order things break in on its own, and honestly it's scarier than any disaster movie a year ago "what if" was a question you googled. now you ask it and get a whole world built for you
